Nice Place Foundation recently concluded a successful 3-day mentorship program for 54 scholarship students currently in secondary school. The program focused on crucial areas such as personal development, sexual and reproductive health, drug and substance abuse, gender-based violence, stress management, life skills, time management, and menstrual/personal hygiene. Recognizing the importance of parental involvement, Nice Place Foundation also held a session with guardians on parenting skills and alternative sources of income to promote financial independence.
In Kajiado County and beyond, many families face economic hardships that make it extremely difficult to afford the costs of education. Nice Place Foundation scholarship program was created to address this challenge and ensure that bright, deserving students have the opportunity to pursue their education, regardless of their families’ financial circumstances. Our program is based on the belief that financial support alone is not enough; mentorship and guidance are equally vital to help students navigate challenges and succeed in their studies.
Since its inception in 2021, Nice Place Foundation scholarship program has made a significant difference in the lives of young people in our community. Here’s what we’ve achieved:
- Supported 237 students: We’ve provided scholarships to a total of 237 students across various educational levels, from primary school to tertiary institutions.
- Engaged Parents: Through parents’ clinics, we’ve fostered collaboration between parents and NPF, empowering them to better support their children’s education.
- Career Guidance: In partnership with Maasai Technical and Kenya Medical Training Institutes, we held a Career Open Day to expose scholarship students to diverse educational and professional opportunities.
The success of Nice Place Foundation scholarship program is made possible through the generosity of donors and partners. Your support enables us to provide financial assistance, mentorship, and opportunities that empower young people to achieve their educational goals and build brighter futures.
